JEFFREY DAVIS

Dr. Davis is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is an advanced fellow in regenerative and functional medicine through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He completed his residency in Family Medicine through University of Kansas at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, KS and earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He holds a bachelor of arts and masters of clinical gerontology from Baylor University.

ANDREW S. HENTZEN

Andrew S. Hentzen, M.D., F.A.C.S., is from Seward, Nebraska.  He graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha and completed his surgical residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita.  Dr. Hentzen is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. 


Dr. Hentzen is a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the University Of Kansas School of Medicine.  He serves at Wesley Medical Center as the Chair of Robotic Governance and is a member of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics committee, as well as an executive member of the trauma committee.

WILLIAM A. WASWICK

William A. Waswick, M.D., F.A.C.S., grew up in North Dakota and received his medical degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. He completed a surgical residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita. Dr. Waswick is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of the American Burn Association.


Dr. Waswick is a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and served as Past President of the medical staff at Wesley Medical Center. He currently serves as an executive member of the trauma committee.


In addition to his general surgery practice, Dr. Waswick has a special interest burn care, Laparoscopic and Robotic surgery, trauma, and acute care.  He also donates his surgical services to Project Access, who serves uninsured, low-income residents of Sedgwick County.  Dr. Waswick is the director of a medical mission trip that travels to the Dominican Republic twice a year. 

SCOTT W. PORTER

Scott W. Porter, M.D., F.A.C.S., is from Wellington, Kansas. He received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City and completed a surgical residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita.  Dr. Porter is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. 


Dr. Porter is a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and serves as President of the medical staff at Wesley Medical Center.   He also serves as an executive member of the trauma committee.  


In addition to his general surgery practice, Dr. Porter provides his surgical services to outlying communities.  He has a special interest in Laparoscopic and Robotic surgery, trauma and acute care.  Dr. Porter also donates his surgical services to Project Access, who serves uninsured, low-income residents of Sedgwick County.

VICTORIA KINDEL

Dr. Kindel has spent her entire career of 29 years caring for women at Associates in Women's Health and is, therefore, in a extraordinary position to understand what makes the practice so important to Wichita.


She describes AWH as an integrated team of caregivers providing the best possible care to their patients. Unique features, such as units caring for gynecology oncology, maternal-fetal medicine and sonography make it much easier for the staff to understand, discuss and then care for patients. Finding balance between her family and professional life is also important, so she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, cooking, exercising and volunteering.


She received her MD from the University of Kansas and performed residency at Wesley Medical Center. She resides on the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the Fellow, American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Kansas Medical Society, and the Medical Society of Sedgwick County. 


Dr. Kindel is licensed from the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts and takes appointments at Wesley Medical Center via the Christi Regional Medical Center. 

KURT KAUFFMAN, MD, FACOG

Dr. Kauffman graduated from the University of Kansas and did his residency at Wesley Medical Center. He is board certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a member of the Kansas Medical Society and Medical Society of Sedgwick County. He has hospital appointments at the Wesley Medical Center and Via Christi Regional Medical Center.

ZACHARY KUHLMANN

For the past 11 of his 15 year career in women's healthcare, Dr. Kuhlmann has been a part of Associates of Women's Health. He describes the people of AWH as his second family, adding that everyone at AWH strives to provide exceptional care and shows genuine compassion to patients and coworkers alike. He is most passionate about making sure that both moms and baby are healthy and he puts that philosophy to work every day both at AWH and in his role in education. Kuhlmann has earned several awards for his work at the University of Kansas.

CHRISTINA M. NICHOLAS

Christina M. Nicholas, M.D., F.A.C.S., is from Huron, South Dakota.  She received her medical degree from the University of South Dakota School of Medicine and then completed her general surgery residency training at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita.  Dr. Nicholas is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery.  She is a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons.


She is a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine and Executive Vice Chair of surgery at Wesley Medical Center, Secretary for the Medical Society of Sedgwick County and an executive member of the trauma committee.  Dr. Nicholas is President of the Wesley Medical Arts Tower Association.


In addition to her general surgery practice, Dr. Nicholas has a special interest in Breast Cancer surgery and treatment, Laparoscopic and Robotic surgery, trauma and acute care.   Dr. Nicholas also donates her surgical services to Project Access, who serves uninsured, low-income residents of Sedgwick County.

DANIEL PROHASKA, MD

Dr. Prohaska is a well-known and respected orthopedic surgeon on the leading edge of sports medicine in Wichita and the Midwest. He graduated with a Bachelor of Biology degree from Kansas State University and attended medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine.


After his residency, he traveled to the University of Pittsburgh where he completed his fellowship in the field of Sports Medicine. While in Pittsburgh, he worked closely with the University of Pittsburgh athletes as well as the Pittsburgh Steelers football team. After completing his fellowship in 2001, Dr. Prohaska returned to Wichita and began his practice specializing in the care of shoulder, sports-elbow, and knee injuries. He is constantly in search of the newest and most effective treatments and surgical technology to provide his patients with the best outcomes and fastest recovery possible.


Dr. Prohaska works with the Via Christi Sports Medicine Team in serving local athletes and he personally serves as a team physician for Wichita State University, Newman University, Southwestern College and Butler County Community College.   In addition to all of his professional activities, Dr. Prohaska enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.

DIANE HUNT

Diane L. S. Hunt, M.D., F.A.C.S., grew up in the Flint Hills near Council Grove, Kansas. She received her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City and completed her surgical residency at the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita. Dr. Hunt is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons and the Society of Critical Care.


Dr. Hunt is a clinical assistant professor of surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Wichita and Executive Chair of Surgery at Wesley Medical Center.  She also serves as an executive member of the trauma committee.

HOLLY MONTGOMERY

Holly Montgomery M.D., graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed her residency at Wesley Medical Center. She is a member of the Fellow American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, as well as the Kansas Medical Society and the Medical Society of Sedgwick County. Holly is the mother of two boys and loves Kansas University basketball, outdoor activities and crafting.

ALEXANDER BOLLINGER, MD

Dr. Bollinger is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery who joined AOA in August 2017.   Dr. Bollinger is originally from Omaha, Nebraska, and earned his medical degree with distinction from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at Michigan State University, before finishing his hand and upper extremity fellowship at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation, where he was mentored by some of the nation’s top hand and shoulder surgeons.


Dr. Bollinger’s specialty training focuses on trauma, reconstruction, nerve compression, and other disorders of the hand, wrist, forearm, elbow, and shoulder. He has given many presentations at regional and national meetings and enjoys staying up-to-date with new research and innovative techniques to help his patients improve their quality of life.   Outside of his professional activities, Dr. Bollinger enjoys golfing, running, cycling, swimming, and—most importantly—spending time with his wife, two little boys, and their golden retriever.

JAMES H. GILBAUGH III, MD, FACS

Board Certified by the American Board of Urology

Dr. Gilbaugh received his medical degree from Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, OR. He completed his internship and residencies in the specialties of surgery and urology at UCSD Medical Center, San Diego, CA. Dr. Gilbaugh also did a fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine, Scott Department of Urology in Houston, TX. Board certified by the American Board of Urology, Dr. Gilbaugh has been in practice since 1994.

 JAMES M. SHAW M.D. 

James M Shaw MD is from Wichita, KS.  He earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita.  His general surgery training was done in Wichita, and his plastic Surgery training at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX.  He has been certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1997. 

Dr. Shaw primarily focuses on cosmetic surgery for the breasts, body contouring and facial aesthetics.  He also does insurance covered surgeries, primarily to address skin cancers or breast reconstruction.  Shaw Plastic Surgery also offers a wide range of non-surgical and anti-aging treatments.
