Randall Taylor, MD
Otolaryngology is a surgical specialty that also has a large non-surgical clinic component. That allows us to care for patients for years and develop relationships that other surgeons don’t. When one is training to be an ENT, so much of the focus is rightly on surgical training, but I was lucky to study at the University of Minnesota where we had mentors that also valued the doctor-patient relationship. I have tried to live up to the standard my mentors instilled while caring for patients in Littleton for the past 16 years.
I was born in Germany to an American military family, finally settled in Fort Collins. I attended CSU graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Anthropology and Archeology and worked my way through college working in both an archeology lab and a neurobiology lab. I spent a year in Germany as a Fulbright Scholar studying taste and smell neurobiology. Returning to Colorado, I entered the combined MD, PhD program at the University of Colorado. I am a 100% science nerd if you can’t tell. I completed the first 2 years of medical school and obtained my PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Colorado. My wife and I moved to Minneapolis for her general surgery residency and I finished the last 2 years of medical school and ENT residency at the U of M.
