A hysteroscopy with myomectomy is a minimally-invasive procedure that gives the doctor a view of the uterus by inserting a small camera (hysteroscope) through the cervix from the vagina. The doctor can then identify and cut out leiomyomas (also called uterine fibroids), non-cancerous growths that can form on the tissue inside of the uterus. This procedure can ease the symptoms caused by uterine fibroids while leaving the uterus intact.
