ABUS Screening Ultrasound of the Complete Breast
An Automated Whole Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) is an FDA-approved ultrasound to be used as a supplemental test to screening mammography. This test does not replace your yearly screening mammogram; it is used in conjunction and to supplement your annual mammography. The ABUS is automated and involves no radiology tech intervention. The ABUS images are reviewed by the radiologist alongside your mammogram.
