An Automated Whole Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) is an FDA-approved ultrasound to be used as a supplemental test to screening mammography. This test does not replace your yearly screening mammogram; it is used in conjunction with annual mammography. This test is specifically designed for women who do not have any current breast problems and have dense breast tissue or an increased risk of developing breast cancer
