Deep Cleaning (Per Quad)
A deep cleaning (per quad) is necessary when there is a substantial amount of tarter under the gums. During the procedure, the mouth is separated into four quadrants: upper right, lower right, upper left, and lower left, and the tartar is removed. The dental hygienist will typically use local anesthetic in each section to ensure patient comfort.
